How to Prepare Your Home Before the Painters Arrive
By Danova Renovations

A little prep on your end can speed up the job, protect your belongings, and ensure a smoother experience for everyone. Here's what to do before the painters arrive.
Clear the room
Move small furniture, decor, and wall hangings out of the way. For larger items, we'll help with moving and covering, but clearing small objects saves time.
Protect what matters
Remove or cover electronics, artwork, and valuables. We'll protect floors and furniture, but extra care for irreplaceable items never hurts.
Provide access
Ensure clear pathways to the work area. Move cars from the driveway if we need to load supplies. Make sure outlets are accessible for our equipment.
Plan for pets and kids
Consider confining pets to a room we're not painting. Kids should avoid work areas during application and dry time.
Communicate
Tell us about any sensitivities (smells, allergies) or scheduling constraints. We'll work with you to make the project as smooth as possible.
At Danova Renovations, we handle most of the prep—but these steps help us get started faster and keep your home safe. Ready to schedule? Get a free estimate today.
